| There are 8 icons here, but they're really text-included and text-free versions of the same four icons. The whole thing began when I saw that Arwen screencap and realized how much it looked like a Renaissance painting. I know I've done icons kind of like this before, but I can't help it. To me, something about LOTR demands muted tones, antiquing, and a certain kind of framing.
If you'd like some specific text on one of them I've saved the *.psd files and I'd be happy to add it, but please, don't modify these yourself. I spent weeks trying to figure out how to make that Arwen one -- the first of the bunch, and probably the best -- click.
Rules are in the ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) icons_by_etoile userinfo, but are standard: comment good, credit good, hotlink bad, and so on.

Credit is good. Comments are better. The website is woefully out of date. Hotlinking is bad. You know the drill.

| Tell me what you think of these Faramir icons. It's okay to be harsh; I'm not particularly fond of most of them. Even though he's my favorite character, I can't ever seem to make decent Faramir icons. I'm starting to blame Peter Jackson, for not providing me with the shots I need. :-P

| I made a whole batch of those sort of grungy, browned-out LOTR icons. I've already done the community rounds with them, but now they're here, too. They aren't on the website yet, but they will be.
If you like these icons but your favorite choice of character isn't among them, and you'd like to see one done of him/her/it, say so, and I'll probably do it. Now that I've got the hang of these they're quick work. :)

| Just a small handful of LOTR icons. I think there are more coming in both these styles soon, reworked... or not... I dunno. I just don't like sitting on huge batches (though I'll hold off on community posting with small groups), so here.
